Real-Time Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Overview

Real-Time SPC & Manufacturing Quality Analytics with DataLyzer

Most manufacturers already measure their processes, but the data often sits in spreadsheets, paper check sheets or isolated gauges. By the time someone analyses it, the out-of-control batch has already shipped. The cost shows up later as scrap, rework, warranty claims and lost customer confidence.

TBCLTech deploys DataLyzer statistical process control to collect measurements automatically from gauges, machines and operators, plot them live on control charts, and alert the right people when a process drifts. Combined with OEE and FMEA / control plan tools, you get a closed loop from risk analysis to real-time control, with a clear view of how every line, shift and part is performing.

Key Capabilities

Everything you need for Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Real-Time Control Charts

X-bar/R, X-bar/S, individuals, p, np, c and u charts updated live, with Western Electric and Nelson rule violations flagged instantly.

Process Capability

Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk calculated automatically by part, characteristic, machine and shift to prove capability to customers.

Automated Data Collection

Capture data directly from digital gauges, CMMs, PLCs and machine controllers, eliminating manual transcription errors.

Alarms & Reaction Plans

Notify operators, supervisors and engineers by screen, e-mail or andon, and enforce documented reaction plans and cause codes.

OEE Monitoring

Track availability, performance and quality losses by line and shift to target the biggest improvement opportunities.

FMEA & Control Plans

Link PFMEA, control plans and SPC characteristics so risk analysis drives what is measured on the shop floor.

Business Outcomes

The results that matter

Less scrap and rework

Detect drift early and correct processes before nonconforming parts are produced.

Customer-ready capability

Provide PPAP and customer capability reports in minutes, not days.

Paperless shop floor

Replace check sheets and spreadsheets with guided, error-proof data entry.

Plant-wide visibility

Compare performance across lines, plants and suppliers from one dashboard.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Statistical Process Control (SPC).

What is Statistical Process Control (SPC)?

SPC is a method of monitoring and controlling a process using statistical techniques, mainly control charts. It separates normal (common-cause) variation from abnormal (special-cause) variation, so teams react only when the process genuinely changes.

Can DataLyzer collect data directly from our gauges and machines?

Yes. DataLyzer supports direct connections to digital gauges, measuring instruments, CMMs and machine controllers, as well as file and database imports. TBCLTech configures these interfaces during implementation.

Does SPC software help with IATF 16949 and PPAP requirements?

Yes. IATF 16949 and the AIAG core tools expect statistical studies, capability evidence and control plans. DataLyzer produces capability studies, control charts and linked control plans that support PPAP submissions and customer audits.

Can SPC data feed our QMS?

Yes. We can integrate out-of-control events and nonconformances with your QMS, for example Octave Reliance, so that significant process issues automatically trigger nonconformance or CAPA workflows.
